About Us

My name is Anthony, and my wife and I are the founders and owners of Who Wants To Rent. While the name may suggest a traditional rental housing service, our company serves a very different and critical purpose. We help landlords, property managers, and property owners identify high-risk tenants before a lease is signed.

Problem tenants can significantly impact rental communities. Their behavior may contribute to increased crime, tenant complaints, property damage, financial losses, and the time-consuming and costly eviction process. Our goal is to provide housing professionals with the information they need to make informed leasing decisions and protect their investments.

Background and experience

I am a lifelong resident of Las Vegas and have witnessed firsthand the remarkable growth of our valley over the past 50 years. With growth comes opportunity—but also new challenges for property owners and managers.

I began my career in law enforcement in 1989, serving first as a corrections officer and later as a police officer. After 25 years of service, I retired as a Sergeant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Throughout my career, I frequently encountered issues involving problematic tenants in rental communities. I saw the disruption they caused—not only within apartment complexes, but also throughout surrounding neighborhoods.

Law enforcement regularly worked with property management to address criminal activity and remove disruptive tenants. However, the results were often temporary. In many cases, the same individuals would relocate to nearby communities, where new landlords had no knowledge of their prior behavior. This recurring pattern revealed a clear gap in communication and information-sharing within the rental industry.

The Solution

Who Wants To Rent was created to address this problem directly.

We have developed a reliable and effective system that enables landlords, managers, and property owners to share critical rental history information. Our platform identifies tenant applicants with documented histories of lease violations, chronic late payments, property damage, negative police contact, and other concerning behavior. Additionally, our system can indicate whether an applicant is currently in the eviction process—and provide supporting documentation when applicable.

Another key feature of our service is the ability to connect prospective landlords with previous landlords who may not have been disclosed on the application. This allows property owners to gain a more accurate and complete understanding of an applicant’s rental history before extending a lease.
